Faith-Filled Environment

Volusia County Catholic schools provide a Catholic faith-based education in which students build and deepen their relationship with Jesus and learn about Catholic principles, values, and traditions. We strive not only to teach our faith, but more importantly to provide our students with opportunities to experience and demonstrate the living faith — whether in the classroom or church, on the athletic field or stage, and in the community.

Our students learn and grow in their love of Jesus through daily prayer, the celebration of weekly Mass and other celebrations and retreats, and by participating in a variety of ministries and outreach projects, serving local and global communities. They learn to love God and one another, as well as discover and develop their God-given gifts, in a safe and nurturing environment marked by kindness.

The Gospel message is foundational to our schools. The Beatitudes are woven throughout the curriculum, school liturgies, and daily life in the classrooms.

We are Catholic in that we teach and live the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Just as importantly, we are Catholic meaning “universal”. We welcome students and families from all faith backgrounds, who desire an excellent education and to participate fully in the life of our schools.

Service & Community

We believe that it is in sharing our gifts with others that we truly show gratitude to God.  As such, our children are encouraged to share their time, talent and treasure in service to others. Throughout the year, they undertake a number of service projects, from collecting food for the local poor to visiting the sick and elderly to helping construct classrooms and teaching English to children in the remote mountains of the Dominican Republic. In 2018-2019, students in the Diocese of Orlando documented more than 180,000 service hours.
