Meet Basilica School of St. Paul's new principal, Joseph Ronca

Mr. Ronca has 34 years of experience in education and has served as a principal for three Volusia schools in the past 20 years.As principal, he will lead the school in enhancing its curriculum, adding interactive technology for student learning, and maintaining an environment of respect and moral development infused with Catholic teachings.Mr. Ronca will also facilitate the school's new partnership with the Notre Dame Alliance for Catholic Education, an initiative by the university to provide the best Catholic education possible to students in VPK through 8th grade.Mr. Ronca, who has a master's degree in administration/supervision from Nova University and a bachelor's in elementary education from the University of Central Florida, has received many awards over his career. These include Volusia County Schools Elementary Principal of the Year in 2013-2014 and Volusia County Council of PTA Principal of the Year in 2010-2011.In addition, he has been a member of several organizations, such as the Florida Association of School Administrators, the Volusia Association of School Administrators Executive Board and the National Association of Elementary School Principals.Mr. Ronca is prepared to continue the Basilica's tradition of excellence.
