“Coffee Break” - How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying Music & Lyrics by Frank Loesser, Book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, & Willie Gilbert - ~3:30

“What Else Can I Do?” from Encanto - Anneisa Andrews & Alyssa Andrews

“What Else Can I Do?” composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda from the Disney film, Encanto, performed by sisters, Anneisa & Alyssa Andrews. Anneisa & Alyssa are new to our Father Lopez family this year; Anneisa is a senior, while Alyssa is a sophomore. Both young ladies are exceptionally accomplished actresses, singers, dancers, and choreographers, having been involved in community productions from very young ages. Anneisa & Alyssa will be inducted into the International Thespian Society this May. Alyssa will be involved in Drama Troupe #3570 leadership next school year & Anneisa is planning on attending college in the fall.

“Coffee Break” from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying - Alyssa Andrews, Anneisa Andrews, Erin Cassidy, Paige Koppernolle, & Jayden Willems

Our next small group musical performance is from the successful Broadway play “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” & might be relatable for some of the adults in the audience. “Coffee Break” recounts the horrors of there not being coffee in the work break room & the office workers despair over that fact. Our performers, Alyssa Andrews, Anneisa Andrews, Erin Cassidy, Paige Koppernolle, & Jayden Willems performed “Coffee Break” for competition at the Florida State Thespian Festival last week. They received an Excellent  ranking for their efforts!

“Lord, I Lift Your Name on High” - The SoundWaves, featuring Sadie Martin, Alyssa Andrews, Anneisa Andrews, Erin Cassidy, & Jayden Willems

Rick Founds composed the popular worship song “Lord, I Lift Your Name on High” in the late 1990’s. We are fortunate to have Father Lopez’s own music group, the SoundWaves to perform it for us today.  The SoundWaves provide music for Masses at the school, as well as performing at various events throughout the school year, and visiting local nursing homes/assisted living facilities to provide some musical happiness to their residents. SoundWaves was founded by Senior Sadie Martin, who is planning on attending Florida State University in the summer. SoundWaves also features Anneisa Andrews, Alyssa Andrews, Erin Cassidy, & Jayden Willems.
